We’re seeking a Senior-Level Mobile App Designer with deep experience in Figma and mobile UI/UX to join our team for a time-intensive, fast-moving project. You will collaborate directly with our internal product and development teams to design high-quality screens for our cross-platform mobile app (iOS/Android). Our app—VELA—connects education founders and families through social networking, messaging, events, and resources. We're preparing for launch and need a skilled designer who can translate user stories into clean, intuitive, and modern screen designs, and iterate quickly. What You'll Do: • Work alongside our team to design Figma screens based on product requirements and user flows • Translate rough wireframes and concepts into polished mobile app screens • Design consistent components and layouts that align with an existing design system (where applicable) • Ensure designs are dev-ready with clear specs, assets, and annotations • Be available for responsive communication, quick turnarounds, and collaborative feedback loops What We’re Looking For: • 5+ years experience in mobile app design (iOS & Android) • Strong portfolio of Figma-based mobile app work (please share links) • Ability to work in real-time collaboration with our team via Slack, Figma, Zoom, etc • Fluent in designing across full app experiences: onboarding, social feeds, messaging, directories, event views, profiles, and more • Strong eye for usability, typography, spacing, and mobile best practices • Availability to commit time intensively over the next 2-3 weeks Bonus if you have: • Experience working with React Native teams • Familiarity with social or community-focused apps • Comfort working in fast-paced startup environments To Apply: Please include: 1.
