UX/UI Designer Needed for Customer Self-Serve Portal


Roadpost is a leading provider of mobile satellite solutions, and the partner of choice for thousands of individuals that work or travel beyond the limits of terrestrial or cellular coverage. From private and public sector employers who need to connect and protect employees at remote worksites, to backcountry adventurers and enthusiasts, Roadpost’s customers have many faces, but a common concern - the need for reliable communications that they can access anywhere. We are seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to lead the design activities for our customer self-serve portal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user-centered design principles and be able to create intuitive and engaging interfaces. You will work closely with our development team to implement your designs and ensure a seamless user experience. Key Skills and Responsibilities - Contractor shall be familiar with the following tools and applications: - High level of customer focus and passion for creating clear and intuitive user experiences. - Strong skills in design thinking process that considers a service design approach to all projects - Expertise in the application of AI technology to enhance the efficiency of the design process - Certificate in User Experience Design or comparable experience. Scope and Deliverables - Complete UX research to understand customer preferences, define customer personas, and to validate designs and concepts. - Create a customer journey map - Create design thinking assets such as sketches / breadboards, wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and final designs using Roadpost / BlueCosmo’s visual design language. - Ensure designs are optimized across screen sizes, operating systems, and browsers. - Identify opportunities to apply AI-driven design methodologies (concept generation, prototyping, code snippets, content generation, image generation) to the project and document and share these methodologies within the team   - Contributes to documentation and service design assets to support the handoff and post-launch phases of the design thinking lifecycle. - Support the development team in implementing the designs, including ensuring that individual design elements are feasible within our development framework - Test screens as they are built by the development team to ensure that they have been implemented according to the design
