We are migrating our website from a 3rd party host / old domain to a new domain and new host, and with gaining this control, we're refreshing our site’s design and functionality to better serve our audience. We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced web develope to consult & assist us in the migration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of website management, modern web design principles, SEO best practices, and email migration processes. RESPONSIBILITIES - Safely back up our existing website files and database. - Assist in the selection and configuration of a new host + CMS. - Manage the transition of our team’s email accounts from the current provider to the new domain, ensuring a smooth transfer of emails and settings. - Transfer and optimize existing content to the new site, ensuring a smooth user experience. - Implement SEO best practices to enhance site visibility and search engine ranking. - Implement security measures to protect the website from threats, including SSL setup, security audits, and best practices for data protection. - Conduct thorough testing to ensure all functionalities work correctly and assist with the launch. QUALIFICATIONS - Proven experience in web development and design - Strong knowledge of Squarespace or similar CMS - Experience with email migration and domain management - Familiarity with web hosting platforms and domain registration. - Experience with SEO best practices. - Strong communication skills and ability to work independently. - Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. - Assist with setting up forwarding of web traffic & email traffic.
