Job Description: We’re looking for an experienced mobile app developer (or development team) to help us explore and potentially build a cross-platform app that helps restaurants fill slow periods by sending timely promotional offers to customers. Concept Overview: This app will have two primary user groups: 1. Restaurant Staff Interface (Control Panel): • Accessible via phone or tablet (lightweight native admin app) • Allows staff to indicate when the restaurant is slow • Enables easy setup of limited-time offers or specials • Controls SMS or app-based customer notifications • Interface with Toast (and eventually other) platform 2. Customer Experience (iOS/Android App): • Native app experience (built in Flutter, React Native, or similar) • Helps customers decide where to eat along with other custom information that would pull from the restaurant • Displays nearby restaurant promotions in real-time • Allows opt-in for SMS alerts or app notifications when relevant offers are available Goals: • Drive real-time foot traffic during slow hours • Solve the common "Where should we eat?" question for users • Provide restaurants with a simple, non-disruptive system to publish offers What We Need Help With: • Technical consultation on frameworks and approach • Rough estimates on time and cost • Potential MVP development • UI/UX recommendations for both the restaurant and customer side • Integration suggestions for location data, push notifications, and SMS APIs Ideal Skills: • Cross-platform app development (Flutter, React Native, or similar) • Backend development for user/admin panels • API integrations (SMS, geolocation, etc.) • Experience with building SaaS tools or marketplace apps • Bonus: Experience working with restaurants or in the food service tech space Deliverables (Initially): • Technical discovery and architecture recommendations • Time & budget estimate for MVP • MVP prototype or full build, depending on discovery outcome We are at the early stage of this idea and looking for a collaborative partner to bring it to life.
