Our platform dynamically generates tens of thousands of SEO-friendly pages (state, city, ZIP-level) for our bookkeeping business. This is a contract opportunity for someone who’s confident working with complex legacy code, upgrading to PHP 8.x, and optimizing performance on Azure App Services. You’ll be responsible for: • Upgrading our PHP application to the latest version (8.x+) • Refactoring legacy code for maintainability and performance • Optimizing routing and caching logic for tens of thousands of pages • Improving speed, load handling, and overall reliability • Managing settings and configurations on Azure • Creating technical documentation along the way Must-Have Skills: • PHP 7.x / 8.x (upgrade & refactor experience) • Experience with large-scale dynamic URL/page generation • Azure App Services (deployment, scaling, settings) • Caching, routing, and performance tuning • Git + Staging/Prod workflows Bonus: Experience with CodeIgniter, SEO-focused architecture, or bookkeeping SaaS platforms.
