Seeking Structural Engineer for Precast 10'x10' Box Culvert Design (AASHTO/NDDOT Specs)

We are a precast manufacturing company based in North Dakota seeking a qualified structural engineer to design a 10'x10' precast concrete box culvert. This project requires stamped drawings and sealed calculations in accordance with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) standards. Final plans will be submitted as part of a DOT infrastructure project. Scope of Work: • Design of a 10'x10' precast box culvert, including: o Top slab, bottom slab, walls, and joint connections o Structural reinforcement layout and lifting anchor placement o Load rating calculations (HL-93) o Accommodate standard soil backfill and surcharge loads • Deliverables include: o Signed/sealed structural calculations (PDF) o Signed/sealed shop drawings (PDF or DWG) o Load rating summary for DOT review o Optional: Support with answering DOT submittal questions Requirements: • Licensed structural engineer (PE) in the U.S. – NCEES Record or ND license preferred • Demonstrated experience designing precast box culverts to AASHTO LRFD specs • Familiarity with ASTM C1577 and DOT submittal requirements • Ability to deliver within [2–3 weeks or specify timeline] • Must provide portfolio or examples of similar work
