This platform empowers service-based firms—including consultants, contractors, agencies, law firms, and staffing providers—to consolidate operations, reduce overhead, and grow profitably without the chaos of disconnected tools. With features spanning project management, HRM, CRM, Applicant Tracking System, invoicing, payroll, time tracking, branded client portals, and more, small businesses can have enterprise-grade capabilities at a fraction of the complexity and cost. We’ve built. Now it’s time to launch and scale. You’ll be the one to help us do it, through email marketing channels, social media, and digital content that connects, educates, and converts. The Role We’re hiring a Product Marketing Lead to take full ownership of the marketing of this platform, our content strategy, and GTM execution. This is not a “write a few blog posts” role. You’ll develop our application’s brand voice, map the content strategy to our Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), create conversion-driven pillar content, lead magnet assets, SEO plays, social campaigns, and more—all tied to measurable growth outcomes. You’ll work directly with the founder to build content that drives awareness, engagement, adoption, and loyalty. What You’ll Own • Content Strategy & Execution • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar mapped to our ICPs and customer journey (e.g., staffing firms, consultants, law firms, etc.) • Produce (or manage production of) SEO-optimized pillar content, case studies, product guides, onboarding content, newsletters, and lead magnets • Build content frameworks around feature adoption: e.g., how law firms use project management workflows or how freelancers use white-labeled portals • Manage repurposing of content into multiple formats: carousels, reels, email series, microblogs, etc. • Use AI tools (like ChatGPT) to accelerate creation without sacrificing quality—then refine, rewrite, and polish with editorial oversight • SEO & Distribution • Conduct deep keyword research including long-tail keywords • Implement on-page SEO: headings, metadata, internal linking, semantic structuring • Own distribution across our platform’s social platforms, newsletter, partner networks, and 3rd party communities • Monitor performance of each piece—optimize based on rankings, traffic, time-on-page, and conversions • Lead Generation & Conversion • Design and produce gated lead magnets tailored to each ICP (e.g., consulting scorecards, contractor profitability calculators) • Build and optimize landing pages in WordPress/Elementor for key campaigns • Collaborate with the founder and dev team to insert contextual content and CTAs inside the application app (contextual onboarding, blog cross-links, etc.) • Own content A/B testing for call-to-actions, copy, and page structure Requirements Must-Have Experience: • 3–6 years in B2B SaaS content marketing, preferably for SMB-targeted platforms • Proven track record creating content that ranks on Google and drives sign-ups/conversions • Strong SEO knowledge with hands-on experience running successful long-tail keyword campaigns • Experience producing a range of content assets: blog posts, case studies, emails, whitepapers, templates, landing pages, social posts • Familiarity with or prior experience marketing platforms that include features like project management, invoicing, CRMs, ATS, or client portals Must-Have Skills: • Exceptional writing and storytelling ability with a strong editorial eye • Great presentation skills, A+ communication, and ability to host webinars and only virtual forums • Able to translate technical product features into practical, engaging, persona-specific value stories • Skilled in tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console • Experience with graphic design and use of tools like Canva/Figma for UI and graphic design • Proficient with AI-assisted writing tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, SurferSEO) and how to humanize the output • Able to work independently with little to no oversight besides general strategic directions and review of deliverables • Strong attention to detail and deadline accountability Bonus Points: • Experience building a content marketing operation from scratch for a startup or bootstrapped company • Prior experience writing for freelancers, consultants, or service-based SMBs • Expertise with conversion copywriting and CRO principles • Basic HTML/CSS/JS or WordPress knowledge is a huge plus! • Portfolio with ranking articles, live landing pages, and lead gen assets What Success Looks Like • A complete, consistent content pipeline that publishes 2–4 major pieces of pillar content per month plus regular social assets • Steady organic growth in traffic, keyword rankings, and content engagement metrics • Steady organic growth in social media following and customer engagement • Increased conversion rate from blog/landing pages to trial signups and lead magnet downloads • Clear content attribution to trials, sign-ups, and activation milestones • A content engine that becomes the backbone of our platform’s growth flywheel Perks • High-impact role with ownership and autonomy • Equity potential and performance-based bonuses • Opportunity to shape the voice and growth trajectory of an ambitious B2B SaaS brand To Apply: Please submit: • Your application • 2–3 writing samples or links to published work • A brief explanation of how you would approach building a content strategy for a new SaaS product targeting small service businesses
