About the Microcredit Service Project: We are initiating the development of a new microcredit service designed for our farmer clients. The goal is to offer them financing for purchasing products directly from our stores, operating on a model similar to BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) platforms. Key features include: Credit exclusively for our store's products. A rewards system for on-time and early payments, leading to gradual increases in credit limits. An initial phase focused on recurring customers, with plans to expand to new customers. We are looking for an experienced developer or team who can not only implement the technical solution but also contribute ideas and best practices based on their experience in similar projects. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate in defining detailed technical specifications for the microcredit system. Develop the backend for business logic: application management, customer profiles, credit assessment (initially simple), installment calculation, payment logging, rewards system. Integrate the solution with APIs for widely-used messaging platforms and major social networks for receiving applications, sending notifications, and customer communication. Design and manage the customer and transaction database. Deploy and manage the application on the selected cloud infrastructure (AWS or Google Cloud). Ensure the security and scalability of the platform. (Optional, to be discussed) Develop a simple admin panel for internal system management. Required Skills & Experience: Indispensable: Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken). Proven experience in developing microfinance, microcredit, BNPL, or similar fintech systems. Strong backend development skills (please specify your preferred languages/frameworks, e.g., Python with Django/Flask, Node.js, PHP, Java, Ruby on Rails, etc.). Solid experience with third-party API integration, especially with APIs for widely-used messaging platforms and major social networks. Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL. Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud). Understanding of security principles for financial applications. Ability to work independently and propose solutions. Good communication skills (primarily in Spanish; English is a plus for technical documentation). Desired Qualities (Not Mandatory but a Plus): A portfolio showcasing similar successful projects. Ability to contribute innovative ideas to the project concept. Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
