We have an existing CAD design for an audio product featuring integrated LED lighting that needs to be refined for manufacturing. This is a specialized project requiring expertise in both acoustics and optical design. Key Responsibilities - Review and optimize existing CAD files for manufacturing readiness - Design acoustic optimization for optimal sound quality and speaker performance - Engineer a spherical housing that seamlessly integrates both speaker and LED ring components - Develop light diffusion solutions for uniform LED illumination - Eliminate visible seams and joints for premium aesthetic finish - Create watertight/airtight sealing system for speaker protection - Recommend materials and manufacturing processes - Provide DFM (Design for Manufacturing) analysis and cost optimization suggestions Requirements -Proven experience with audio product design - understanding of acoustic principles, speaker enclosures, and sound optimization -LED/lighting product experience - knowledge of light diffusion, optical design, and thermal management -Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) -Experience with injection molding and assembly processes -Understanding of sealing technologies and weatherproofing -Knowledge of manufacturing tolerances and cost considerations -Experience with consumer electronics or similar high-quality products Please share relevant work samples.
