Overview: We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented web developer for a maintenance and SEO cleanup engagement on our company website. The site is built in Next.js, hosted via Firebase, and integrates with GTM and PostHog. This is not a design or discovery task. You’ll be expected to identify and resolve technical issues directly within the allocated time, not just flag them. Note: Only hiring the person who responds to the job ad. Engagement Details: • Billing type: Hourly • Cap: Limit of 4 hours total • Timeline: To be completed in one focused session (within a week of hire) • Site (for reference): https://greenbeanconsultinggroup.com. (Please review before applying. We're looking for someone who understands this tech stack and can work independently and without design input.) Deliverables: 1. General Maintenance ○ Identify and fix console errors, broken links, and display bugs across desktop, tablet, and mobile views. ○ Validate analytics: ensure GTM, PostHog, and other existing tags fire correctly and are not blocked by cookie tools. ○ Check Firebase and Firestore health for integration or sync issues. 2. Navigation Fix ○ Update the “What we do” and "The FirstGrow Method" nav links at the top of the page so they redirect to specific locations on the second page, not sections on the homepage. 3. Google Search Appearance Fix ○ Correct how the site appears in Google Search (currently just “Green Bean”). The name of the business is "Green Bean Consulting Group" and it needs to appear in Google search in that way. ○ Update site title, Open Graph tags, and favicon settings as needed, plus any other updates required so that the site appears as desired in Google searches. ○ Ensure robots.txt and sitemap.xml are present and submitted in Search Console. ○ Bonus if you can provide recommendations on what steps we can take to get cited in ChatGPT / Claude etc with our existing setup. 4. QA ○ Light cross-browser check (Chrome, Safari, Edge). ○ Confirm all CTAs and redirect links work properly. Requirements: • Solid experience with Next.js, Firebase Hosting, and technical SEO. • Ability to complete all required tasks without design input. • Proactive problem-solver—must deliver working fixes, not just diagnostics. • Open to considering ongoing monthly support if this goes well.
