URGENT: US-Based Backend Developer (PHP + Python + SQLite) for Embedded Router UI Review + Remote SSH Debugging Description: We’re hiring a US citizen only to conduct an immediate backend code review and debugging session for our embedded web admin interface, running on a custom yocto Linux image. This backend supports a custom router-like dashboard with Wi-Fi and Ethernet control, device management, logging, and network performance testing. The system uses: • PHP (for API endpoints and dynamic web views) • Python (for low-level device scripting and database sync) • SQLite (for local state storage) We are focused strictly on the core backend logic tied to: • Login, session, and role-based access • Wi-Fi network management (SSIDs, passwords, guest toggles, band/channel switching) • Ethernet IP configuration and DHCP • Device management (connected vs restricted) • Logs and diagnostics (DHCP/NAT/system log capture) • Security & firewall rules (basic port forwarding & ACLs) • Performance testing (bandwidth, heatmap integration) • Advanced router mode switching logic (Full Router, Wired-Only, Bypass) You will: • Remotely log in to the SOM via SSH (credentials provided after NDA) • Review and simulate backend behavior across PHP/Python/SQLite • Submit immediate improvements and logic fixes directly on-device • Comment and document backend logic clearly • Coordinate directly via chat and/or video call Requirements: • US citizenship • Immediate availability • Deep experience in PHP, Python 3.x, SQLite • Comfort working on embedded Linux systems over SSH • Ability to simulate and test live backend functionality Nice to have: • Experience with router UI/backend systems • Familiarity with lighttpd/nginx • Understanding of SOM hardware (e.g., i.MX93 class boards) Security & Compliance: • Must sign a US-only NDA • No subcontracting or external access allowed Compensation: • Hourly or fixed-rate proposals accepted • Must begin within 24 hours Apply only if you’re a US citizen, available now, and comfortable debugging directly on embedded hardware.
