We're in the process of closing nearly $12M in pipeline, and you would be an instrumental industry leader throughout this process. ## The Opportunity We’re seeking a Fractional Industry Advisor with deep experience in cybersecurity and IT services—either as a former executive/leader of a cybersecurity or IT firm, or as a senior decision-maker on the buyer side for SMB or SME technology solutions. You will provide strategic insight, credibility, and market perspective to help our clients become category leaders and drive transformative results. ## What You’ll Do • Advise on go-to-market strategies, product-market fit, and positioning for cybersecurity & IT service providers targeting SMBs and SMEs • Offer perspective from both provider and buyer sides to help clients anticipate market needs and differentiate their offerings • Participate in client strategy sessions, workshops, and executive briefings as a subject matter expert • Guide clients or internal leaders through complex sales cycles, RFPs, and enterprise procurement processes • Identify industry trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging threats/opportunities in cybersecurity and IT • Support the development of thought leadership, whitepapers, and market-facing content • Mentor client leadership teams and support founder transition from day-to-day operations • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate your insights into marketing, sales, and product strategies ## What You Bring • Proven leadership experience as a CEO, founder, or executive of a cybersecurity or IT services firm, or as a senior technology decision-maker (CIO, CTO, VP IT, etc.) on the buyer side for SMBs/SMEs • Deep understanding of the cybersecurity and IT services landscape, including sales cycles, procurement, compliance, and operational challenges • Demonstrated ability to drive growth, simplify complexity, and build category-leading brands • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, mentorship-focused mindset • High energy, high intelligence, high integrity, and a passion for service and results • Up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, FTC, etc.) and emerging security trends • Willingness to engage in client-facing consulting, workshops, and content development preferred ## How We Work • Remote-first: Work from anywhere (US time zones preferred) • Fractional Engagement: Flexible, per-client basis with compensation scaled to results delivered • Performance-Driven: Bonuses tied to client growth and impact • Growth Path: Opportunity to lead client “pods,” become a partner, and share in firm equity as you deliver results ## Application Process 1. Intro Call: 15-minute initial conversation 2. Assessment: 30-minute deep dive on experience and fit 3. Project Challenge or Submission: Submit a case study or complete a project assessment 4. Trial Engagement: 30-day paid project with a client 5. Onboarding: If successful, join as a fractional Industry Advisor on a per-client basis Case studies demonstrating your impact are required.
