COMPANY OVERVIEW We are a rapidly growing e-commerce jewelry company that specializes in fun, hypoallergenic jewelry. We regularly drop new collections (weekly or bi-weekly) and have a relatively large social following. Our current shift is we are growing from purely "performance marketing" into some brand marketing that is out of the "norm" for early stage DTC e-commerce brands. This particular job posting is regarding helping us design billboards, but there may be other types of design work that we would be able to work with in the future. ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking candidates with proven experience in graphic design. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of visual design elements and experience with proper layout for billboards. Being a new brand that is not a household name we want to give enough context into the type of brand we are, what products we have, and why they should buy - all while not putting too much text on the board. We are needing to be doing three initial billboard designs now, and then three more in approx. 2-4 weeks. We would, ideally, be working with you for these initial 6 and then every quarter we would rotate billboard locations and designs. So we want to make sure this is a great relationship on both sides (see application process below). APPLICATION PROCESS Submit your application and provide answers to the screening questions. We will review applications and reach out to 5-10 qualified candidates by early next week. Selected candidates will be invited to complete a paid task. Paid task will be 1 hr of time, with a fixed rate contract. - Each candidate will be given the exact same context, prompt, raw images, brand kit, and timeline to submit (usually 3-5 days). - Each candidate will spend 1 hr working, and then submit where they are at. - We'll evaluate all submission. We'll pick a few that are directionally going well and then iterate on your design and start working together. I promise we're not crazy.. We FULLY understand that 1 hr will not produce a polished completed look (probably not even close). You will, no doubt, have questions for our team. Our goal is to make sure you can think in the right direction and translate that into a starting point for us to work off of. We might decide we love working with you and then completely toss this "application project" design and start fresh. Really, we just want to weed out anyone who is not experienced (we're sure you'll do great) and then make sure if we give feedback we're able to communicate well and iterate together. We do have some designers in house, but would prefer to have someone with specific billboard design experience to implement best practices right away - hence reaching out here for assistance.
