Job Title: Creative Director – Paid Concept Challenge for Teen Public Health Campaign Job Type: Freelance (Short-Term Contract) Location: Remote Estimated Time Commitment: 5–7 hours Compensation: $500 flat Deliverables Due: Monday, June 9, 2025, 5PM EST --- **Overview** Charrette Agency is seeking 4 talented Creative Directors to participate in a paid creative concept challenge for an upcoming youth-centered public health campaign launching in Virginia Beach. The campaign will focus on fentanyl awareness, harm reduction, stigma reduction, and peer-to-peer education — delivered through social media, digital banners, and a teen ambassador toolkit. Our goal is to reach teens (ages 14–18) in ways that feel authentic, current, and emotionally resonant. We will be selecting one Creative Director from this challenge to lead the full campaign design and production effort, to be contracted immediately following the selection process. --- **About the Challenge** This is not speculative work. Each participating designer will be compensated \$500 flat for 5–7 hours of strategic creative exploration and concept development. We are looking for vision, direction, and audience fluency—not finished assets. --- **Deliverables (Due by June 9)** Please submit the following in a PDF or short slide deck format: 1. Campaign Concept Overview * Campaign name or theme * 2–3 high-level messaging ideas or hashtag directions * Summary of tone, attitude, and rationale 2. Moodboard * Suggested color palette, fonts, textures, and image tone * Platform layout inspiration or references for TikTok, IG, and display ads 3. 3–4 Creative Mockups (Lo-Fi Is Okay) * 1 Instagram story or Snapchat story (9:16 format) * 1 display ad concept (e.g., 300x250 or 1080x1920) * 1 meme, carousel post, or quote-based static visual * Optional: storyboard concept for a TikTok/Reel 4. Creative Rationale * Why this approach will connect with Virginia Beach teens * How it balances education, authenticity, and peer influence --- What We're Looking For * Strong conceptual design skills and youth-focused aesthetic sensibility * Experience working in social impact, nonprofit, or public health campaigns a plus * Mobile-first thinking: 9:16 formats, meme culture, short-form content fluency * Ability to present a campaign vision that can scale across formats (social, display, toolkit) --- What Happens Next Following submission, our internal and client teams will review all four presentations and select one Creative Director to move forward into full development. The selected designer will be contracted to lead campaign production (social assets, display banners, ambassador toolkit). All designers will be compensated regardless of the outcome. --- Let’s build something powerful, resonant, and relevant—for teens, with teens, and about something that truly matters.
