About Us - We are a fast-growing, tech-enabled laundry company opening a 3,730 SF flagship location on Chicago’s North Side. Our concept vertically integrates self-serve washers/dryers, attended drop-off service, and app-based pick-up & delivery. The store must feel modern, bright, and trustworthy—a place where customers are happy to wait, work, or socialize while their laundry runs. Project Goal - Translate our brand values—clean • efficient • community-friendly—into a cohesive interior experience that maximizes traffic flow, seating/working zones, retail add-ons, and visual impact from the street. Scope of Work - Concept & Mood - Key Tasks: Brand discovery call- Inspiration boards, color & material direction - Deliverables: Two mood boards and High-level finish palette - Space Planning - Key Tasks: Review fixed equipment layout (already engineered)- Optimize circulation, seating, folding & vending zones- ADA & egress checks - Deliverables: Annotated floor plan (PDF + CAD) - Design Development - Key Tasks: Fixture/Furniture/Equipment (FF&E) selection- Lighting concept (energy-efficient LED)- Millwork & service counter details - Deliverables: 3-D renderings (SketchUp/Revit or similar)• FF&E cut sheets with pricing - Construction Docs - Key Tasks: Finish schedule- Reflected ceiling & lighting plan- Signage/graphics locations - Deliverables: Permit-ready interior sheets (DWG + PDF) What We’re Looking For - Portfolio with retail, hospitality, or experiential interiors; bonus for laundromat, fitness, or quick-service projects. - Proficiency in CAD + 3-D (Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and material specification. - Knowledge of durable, easy-clean, cost-effective finishes. - Ability to design within Chicago building codes & ADA. - Collaborative attitude—will coordinate with GC, MEP engineer, signage vendor, and brand team.
