Hi! I’m an aspiring DJ with a strong passion for music, especially in the techno and afro house genres. I’m looking for a skilled and experienced DJ to teach me one-on-one, preferably via Zoom or any online platform. I’m a complete beginner but very motivated to learn and eventually perform live in clubs and small events. I’m looking for someone who can guide me step by step through: • DJ fundamentals (beatmatching, phrasing, EQing) • Using Pioneer controllers (I currently use the DDJ-FLX6) • Rekordbox (or Serato/Traktor if needed) • Mixing techniques for techno/afro house • Tips on creating great sets, reading the crowd, and preparing for live gigs • Optional: basic music theory or production if relevant What I’m looking for: • A DJ with real-world performance experience • Patient, supportive, and clear in explanations • Able to create a personalized learning plan • Preferably fluent in English • Bonus: knowledge of Middle Eastern music influences This is an ongoing project – I’d like to start with 1-2 sessions per week.
