Job Description - WordPress Developer Experience Required: 3-5 Years Location: Remote We are seeking a talented WordPress Developer with a strong background in plugin development to join our team for a three-year contract. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining custom WordPress plugins to enhance the functionality of our websites and meet the specific needs of our clients.Experience in Shopify App development- will be an added advantage. Skills required: ● A very good knowledge of core PHP and WordPress. ● Experience using Javascript, jQuery, Alpine JS, VueJS and VueX. ● Knowledge of Canvas will come in handy for future product roadmap. ● Has previously worked on creating new add-ons and adding features to add-ons for a core WordPress plugin, example WP Configurator has a pro plugin as the core plugin where as the rest of the plugins are add-ons. ● Has experience collaborating with designers, product managers, support team and other engineering team members. ○ Work closely with project managers to gather requirements, provide progress updates, and deliver solutions within agreed timelines. ○ Provide technical support and troubleshooting for WordPress plugins developed internally or sourced from third-party developers. ● Conduct code reviews and perform testing to ensure the quality, performance, security and compatibility with different versions of WordPress/WooCommerce. ● Actively engage in the process of integrating and customizing layered configurator plugins within WordPress to meet the dynamic needs of our product. ● Proficient with Github ● Mandatory Qualifications: ● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. ● Minimum of three years of experience as a WordPress Developer, with a focus on plugin development. ● Proficiency in core PHP programming language and experience with MySQL database management. ● In-depth knowledge of WordPress core architecture, hooks, and APIs. ● Experience with version control systems such as Git. ● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. ● Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience with working remotely. ● Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. ● Strong experience with WordPress layered configurator plugins, with a deep understanding of their setup, management, and customization. ● Proficient in creating layered image assets from 2D/3D design software such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, tailored for use in layered configurator plugins. ● Experience in adapting 3D models into layered images for use in web-based configurators, highlighting a combination of technical proficiency and creative design skills.
