Project Management Consultant


Strategic Expert Project Manager Seeking a Strategic Expert Project Manager to oversee a high-impact solar demonstration project. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the project, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. This role requires a deep understanding of project management principles, experience in renewable energy projects, and the ability to work effectively in a federal contract environment. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution: - Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. - Ensure alignment with project objectives, guidelines, and regulatory requirements. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including technical, financial, and administrative stakeholders. Stakeholder Management: - Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. - Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders through regular updates and reports. - Facilitate meetings and workshops to ensure effective collaboration and decision-making. Risk Management: - Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle. - Develop contingency plans and implement risk management strategies to ensure project success. - Monitor and report on risk status and mitigation efforts. Quality Assurance: - Ensure that project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with DOE requirements. - Implement quality control processes and conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to project specifications. Budget and Resource Management: - Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently and effectively. - Monitor project expenditures and provide financial reports to management. - Manage resource allocation and ensure that project team members have the necessary tools and support to perform their duties. Technical Oversight: - Provide technical oversight and guidance on solar technology and project implementation. - Stay current with industry trends and advancements in solar energy technology. - Collaborate with technical experts to ensure project deliverables are innovative and cutting-edge. Qualifications: Education: - Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree is preferred. Experience: - Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in renewable energy projects. - Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects with federal contracts. - Certifications: - lean Six Sigma PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required. - Additional certifications in renewable energy or related fields are a plus. Skills: - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera). - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
