We work with mission-driven organizations to create compelling digital content that educates and mobilizes communities. Our clients primarily focus on civil rights, Black maternal health, and environmental justice. We are looking for a User-Generated Content (UGC) Influencer & Video Creator to produce short-form, high-quality Instagram Reels and TikToks that engage and inform audiences on key social issues. If you're passionate about using digital media to drive awareness and action, this role is for you! Project Overview The consultant will create 3-minute or less Instagram Reels and TikToks that break down complex social issues into digestible, viral content. Videos will follow an educational, advocacy-driven storytelling format. Example topics include: “Did you know Congress is trying to cut Medicaid funding? Here’s how it impacts Black maternal health—and what you can do.” “New Jersey has some of the most densely polluted areas—but not all communities face the same level of environmental risk. Here’s why.” The goal is to create visually compelling, high-retention, and shareable content that reaches both broad and local audiences. Responsibilities - Fully produce short-form videos (Instagram Reels/TikToks) from ideation to execution - Collaborate with Sunflower Society’s Managing Editor and Content Editor to draft scripts - Create engaging visuals, overlay text/images, and ensure high-quality audio and video production - Optimize content for virality and audience engagement - Add captions and subtitles to improve accessibility - Deliver final videos in a timely manner Ideal Candidate - Experienced video creator with a strong portfolio of social media content - Skilled in storytelling, scripting, and social media engagement - Proficient in video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc.) - Comfortable on-camera OR skilled in using voiceovers - Understands trending formats, viral strategies, and audience engagement - Passionate about social justice, advocacy, and education How to Apply Please submit: - A brief intro about yourself and your experience in content creation - Links to 3+ relevant video samples (TikTok/Instagram Reels preferred) - Your availability and rate We look forward to collaborating with a creative digital storyteller who can bring advocacy to life through engaging, viral content!
