OVERVIEW Prevention First, an Illinois-based nonprofit dedicated to advancing health equity and well-being statewide, is seeking contractors and creative firms with a proven track record of producing inclusive, emotionally resonant, and culturally relevant content to join our Creative Services Pool. A large part of our work is translating material into targeting languages! The Creative Services Pool is a diverse, equity-focused network of professionals who contribute to impactful public awareness campaigns addressing key public health priorities—including youth mental health, substance misuse, gambling prevention, suicide prevention, and health equity in underserved communities. These campaigns span digital media, video storytelling, and community-centered outreach to engage and empower audiences across Illinois. Members of this pool may be selected to support one or more scopes of work throughout various campaign lifecycles. WHAT WE SEEK We are looking for creative professionals and vendors who are: • Illinois-based, with a desire to elevate urban, suburban, and rural voices. • Able to provide their own equipment (camera, lighting, audio, editing software, etc.). • Willing to collaborate as part of a diverse team including staff, consultants, nonprofits, and other creatives. • Experienced in equity-centered campaigns, especially in public interest or health-focused work. •Able to follow project guidelines/instructions with limited supervision. NEXT STEPS To be considered, interested creatives must submit a Letter of Interest (template provided) summarizing their qualifications and indicating which of the categories below they are best equipped to support. No pricing is required at this stage. • Step 1: Respond to this posting with a brief proposal introducing yourself or your company and what categories of services you are intersted in providing. • Step 2: If your proposal aligns with our goals, we will formally invite and contract you to submit a Letter of Interest. • Step 3: Submit a 1–5 page PDF Letter of Interest that includes an overview of your services and a portfolio of relevant work. • Step 4: You will be paid $50 for submitting your Letter of Interest. • Step 5: Upon review and acceptance, we will add you to our Creative Services Pool and contact you as creative service opportunities arise. Important: We will only respond to inquiries submitted through this platform. Please do not contact us via email, phone, or social media. CREATIVE SERVICE CATEGORIES Pre-Production & Planning Activities that happen before filming begins, including creative direction, concept development, storyboarding, location scouting, scheduling, and coordination. Pre-production teams work closely with Prevention First and stakeholders to ensure content is culturally responsive and aligned with campaign goals.
