We are seeking a skilled Unity Developer to build a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Gamification Project. The project will transform traditional NDT training into an interactive, engaging, and gamified experience for professionals and students. This initial version does not require AI integration, but the system should be designed with expandability in mind for future AI-based adaptive learning features.Project Scope The project will include: Simulation-based training for Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual Testing (VT). Physics-based NDT defect simulations (e.g., wave propagation, particle reactions, and light-based VT inspections). Gamification mechanics, including XP progression, leaderboards, and time-based challenges. Multiplayer support for real-time defect detection duels and cooperative inspections. 3D environments representing industrial settings such as aerospace, pipelines, and power plants. A reporting system where players submit defect evaluations. Expandability for AI integration in later phases. Key Responsibilities Develop core game mechanics for NDT inspections. Implement realistic physics-based defect detection simulations. Create an intuitive UI/UX for inspection tasks and reporting. Develop leaderboards and multiplayer matchmaking. Optimize for PC, with potential mobile/VR compatibility. Ensure modular code architecture to accommodate future AI enhancements. Collaborate with 3D modelers, UI/UX designers, and industry consultants. Required Skills & Experience Proficiency in Unity (C#) or Unreal Engine. Experience in physics-based simulations. Knowledge of multiplayer game development (Photon Fusion, Mirror, or AWS GameLift preferred). UI/UX design experience for interactive training applications. Familiarity with game optimization for performance efficiency. Ability to work with industrial subject matter experts (SMEs) to validate accuracy. Experience with VR integration (bonus but not required). Preferred Qualifications Experience developing serious games or training simulators. Knowledge of NDT processes and industrial safety. Familiarity with AI-based adaptive learning (future implementation consideration). Contract Details Project Length: 4-6 months (potential for long-term work upon AI expansion).
