We are seeking an experienced mobile app developer to create a cross-platform application for Android and iOS. The app will take weather data from the Weatherbit API, compare it to built-in (pre-specified) weather variable criteria (temperature, wind speed/direction, barometric pressure, etc.) or user-specified custom weather criteria, and then provide the user with a score and graphical representation of how well the built-in or custom weather variable data matches the Weatherbit API data for the next several days (broken down into morning, mid-day, afternoon, and evening periods). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile app development and the integration of a weather data API. Your creativity and technical skills will play a crucial role in delivering a user-friendly experience that meets our needs. We envision the app using a paid subscription model to help offset the Weatherbit API costs. I'm very familiar with working with programmers and can provide all of the technical details and directions as far as the built-in weather criteria and what options the user should be able to enter to save their own custom weather variable criteria. I've also familiarized myself with the weatherbit API documentation and can provide the names of the API fields that will need to be used. I will provide all technical information you will need as far as a scoring methodology, the categorization of weather variables, the information on any calculations that will need to be made, etc.
