Description: Looking for a developer to integrate a USB thermal camera (e.g., Seek, InfiRay, GuideIR) into a ROS2-based system. Deliverables: - Stream thermal video from a USB/UVC or serial thermal camera into ROS2 (/thermal/image_raw) - Implement real-time blob or heat source detection using OpenCV - Publish detections (coordinates + bounding boxes) on a ROS2 topic (/thermal/blobs) - Ensure reliable performance at on Linux (Jetson or Raspberry Pi) - Provide clean, documented code and basic test instructions Preferred Experience: - Hands-on work with thermal imaging hardware - Strong ROS2 experience (sensor drivers, publishers, message types) - Image processing using OpenCV (especially grayscale blob detection) - USB/UVC or serial camera interfacing on Linux
