We are seeking a skilled senior-level Data Engineer/Developer/Architect to join our team, focusing on delivering insights and analytics on Azure infrastructure. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, ETLs, and Data Architecture to develop enrichened data models, which lead to visualizations driving business decisions. You will be responsible for setting up and optimizing data transformation pipelines using Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse, ensuring data is ready for visualization in Power BI. Specifically, the work will involve foundational + customization efforts around FinOps Hubs as found here, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cloud-computing/finops/toolkit/hubs/finops-hubs-overview. Key Responsibilities • Data Modeling: Design and maintain scalable data models tailored to Azure infrastructure data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. • Data Architecture: Collaborate with product stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of multiple data sources, lookup tables, and transformation logic. • Azure Data Factory: Use Synapse to orchestrate data pipelines, transform data, and optimize performance for reporting and analysis. • Azure Synapse Analytics: Use Synapse to orchestrate data pipelines, transform data, and optimize performance for reporting and analysis. • Repeatability + Enablement: Utilize methodologies and documentation aligned to repeatability and operational enablement. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies, translating complex data into actionable insights for our customers. The ideal candidate will be available 10-20hrs/week for 2+ months, depending on fit.
