Role Overview As our only DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, automation pipelines, and deployment strategies. You will be responsible for defining best practices, implementing DevOps methodologies, and ensuring a highly available and secure platform to support our fintech products. This is an individual contributor role with the potential to shape the future of DevOps at our company as we scale. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & Automation • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure (AWS). • Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation, or similar tools. • Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes. CI/CD & Deployment • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and reliable software delivery. • Optimize deployment strategies for containerized applications using Docker, or serverless technologies. • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of DevOps processes. Monitoring, Logging & Incident Response • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using tools • Establish robust logging, tracing, and performance monitoring practices. • Define incident response processes, ensuring system reliability and rapid issue resolution. Security & Compliance • Implement security best practices for cloud environments, networks, and CI/CD pipelines. • Ensure compliance with fintech industry standards and regulations (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS). • Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments. Collaboration & Culture • Act as the go-to expert for all things DevOps, mentoring engineers on best practices. • Foster a DevOps culture by promoting automation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. • Work closely with product and engineering teams to support rapid innovation while maintaining system stability. ⸻ Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar role. • Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure as code (IaC). • Proficiency in AWS CI/CD tools • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker) • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Go, or similar). • Expertise in monitoring, logging, and incident response strategies. • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in fintech. • Experience working in startup or fast-paced environments is a plus.
