Power BI Developer *Position Type:* Full-Time *Overview:* We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive data visualizations and business intelligence solutions using Power BI. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and other technical teams to ensure data-driven decisions and efficient reporting systems. *Key Responsibilities:* - *Data Analysis and Reporting:* - Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and requirements. - Design, develop, and deploy business intelligence solutions using Power BI. - Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations with Power BI to meet business needs. - *Data Modeling:* - Develop and maintain complex data models in Power BI, ensuring high performance and scalability. - Perform data transformations using Power Query (M) and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for reporting and analysis. - *ETL Process:* - Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to bring in data from different sources (databases, flat files, APIs, etc.). - Ensure data quality and integrity in reports and visualizations. - *Collaboration:* - Work with cross-functional teams to identify key metrics and KPIs. - Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and visualizations. - Train and support business users in using Power BI effectively. - *Performance Optimization:* - Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, ensuring that reports load quickly and efficiently. - Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, especially for large datasets. *Maintenance and Updates:* - Maintain and update Power BI reports as new business needs arise. - Implement regular updates for datasets, reports, and dashboards based on user feedback and changes in data sources. *Qualifications:* - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field. - Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, BI Developer, or similar role. - Strong experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query (M), and Report Server. - Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes. - Experience working with databases (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and creating SQL queries. - Familiarity with other Microsoft tools like Excel, SharePoint, and Azure is a plus. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams. *Preferred Skills:* - Experience with cloud-based BI tools and platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS). - Knowledge of advanced DAX expressions for complex calculations. - Experience with integrating Power BI with other Microsoft technologies
