JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled web developer to join our team in creating a professional and engaging website for our health blog. Our blog focuses on a variety of health and wellness topics, and we aim to provide our audience with valuable content that promotes a healthier lifestyle. HIGH LEVEL REQUIREMENTS • A custom, SEO-optimized website that is fully “ready to go,” enabling the content team to begin publishing daily blog posts and driving organic traffic from day one. • The site must be built with scalability in mind to support future expansion. Potential additions may include: • A fully integrated Shop to sell both digital and physical products • Support for web-based tools or apps • A community forum or membership area • Global infrastructure scalability for international growth Initial core features should include: • Basic email capture functionality with Mailchimp integration • Ad network integration (e.g., Google AdSense), to be implemented after 4–5 months of content development MVP FEATURE SCOPE 1) Setup & CMS Installation • Domain transfer & SSL (we already have a domain name and existing website, but needs to be transferred over) • Install CMS (e.g., WordPress) • Theme selection and setup (SEO-optimized, mobile-friendly) or alternatively custom • Custom branded front-end (remove theme footprints) so that it looks and feel custom 2) Technical SEO Essentials • Clear blog structure for easy content upload by the writers • XML sitemap + robots.txt • Google Analytics & Search Console integration • Meta titles & descriptions • Indexable, crawlable content • Basic schema markup • HTTPS (SSL certificates) • Cookie consent banner 3) On-Page SEO Basics (Nice to Have if you can help repurpose blog posts and then upload them) • Keywords in H1 and first 100 words • Optimized meta title/description • Clean heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3…) • Internal linking strategy • Image alt text with keywords • Short, clean URLs (e.g., /coffee-art) Core Features • Email capture (popup modal) with integration to MailChimp • Google AdSense (or other ad network) integration (After website has blog posts populated)
