We are a small/medium-sized business seeking a talented graphic designer with strong logo design skills to help us modernize our current logo. The new logo will be used in both digital and physical formats (e.g., website, social media, shirts, printed materials, van decals, stickers, etc.). We want a professional, memorable, and timeless design that captures our brand’s identity and stands out in our Pool Service & Repair market in Northern California. Responsibilities Logo Redesign & Conceptualization Collaborate with our team to understand our brand’s mission, target audience, and aesthetic preferences. Provide at least 3 initial concepts for review, focusing on a high-quality, modern, and brand-appropriate design. Iterative Design Process Gather feedback from our team and refine concepts, ensuring alignment with our brand identity and strategic goals. Incorporate requested changes and provide a specified number of revision rounds (e.g., up to 2–3 rounds of major revisions). Final Deliverables Provide multiple versions of the final logo design in various file formats (SVG, PNG, JPG). Include variations (e.g., color, black & white, transparent background, horizontal/vertical lockups, no gradient) for different use cases. I can supply a small brand guide (if agreed upon) that specifies color codes (CMYK, RGB, Hex) and typography guidelines. Collaboration & Communication Communicate project progress clearly and promptly. Meet deadlines and ensure timely updates and deliverables. Be responsive to feedback and open to brainstorming sessions. Requirements Experience & Portfolio Proven experience in logo design with a portfolio showcasing diverse styles and completed brand identity projects. Demonstrable track record of successful logos used in various applications (web, merchandise, print). Experience with vector design tools (Adobe Illustrator, etc.) and an understanding of best practices in design for print and digital. Technical & Creative Skills Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory. Ability to produce print-ready files that meet professional standards. Creative thinker who can develop original concepts that suit our company’s brand and positioning. Communication Skills Excellent written and verbal communication to clarify project goals and respond to feedback. Ability to provide rationale behind design decisions, including color choices and layout, to ensure a thoughtful final product. Professionalism & Reliability Strong project/time management skills to handle deadlines. Positive attitude, openness to collaboration, and willingness to iterate on designs based on feedback. Additional Details Project Timeline: Ideally, we’d like to have the logo finalized within a few weeks from the start date. Work Arrangement: Fully remote/freelance, with the possibility of future design work if this project goes well. (T-Shirt/Jacket Graphic) Ownership: Final artwork and design files will be owned by our company upon project completion, and the designer must be willing to sign an NDA if needed. Future edits or work will be first offered to the designer at a mutually agreed hourly rate.
