Book formatting for publishing

Hi I am looking for someone to reformat my book. The book is between 274 and 300 pages with a few graphics. The last person who formatted my book changed the typeface, resulting in fewer pages but a lighter type that was difficult to read once printed. For clarity, the subject matter of this book is groundbreaking but challenging to grasp; therefore, the type cannot take away from the concentration needed to understand the topic. What I am looking for in a typeface is: visibility- medium, not too light but not too dark, size- standard, not too small but not too big. and readability- not take away from the content. This book requires focus. The original version was in Helvetica. It was changed to Bembo, which is too light for this topic. If you don’t have Helvetica or have something that will fit the description that I’m looking for, I will be happy to consider it. I’ll wait to hear from you.
