We are seeking a passionate Social Media Marketing and Email Marketing subcontractor. Our client is a mission-driven nonprofit organization focused on eradicating racism and supporting women of color & their allies/supporters. The person in this role will be providing support indirectly to the client. The ideal candidate has experience and can create event flyers, engaging social media content, manage social media platforms, and assist or design effective email campaigns to increase awareness and drive engagement. If you have experience in nonprofit marketing, social media marketing, or email marketing, we want to hear from you! Please provide examples of previous work. Location: 100% Remote (US-based applicants only - due to the nature of some tasks) Timezones: Open to all time zones, but CST (central standard time) or EST (eastern standard time) are preferred Hours & Availability: 3-5 hours per week, with potential for more. Flexible scheduling, but turnaround within 24 hours is needed. If available, some opportunities to work on weekends (social media posts for weekend events) are available, but not required.  Compensation: Starting at $18-$20 per hour  Start Date: 1-2 weeks Responsibilities: • Graphic Design & Branding: Create visually appealing flyers, social media graphics, digital invitations, event promotions, and other marketing materials using Canva (required) and other design platforms as needed. • Social Media Content Creation: Develop eye-catching visuals for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok and other platforms that align with branding and messaging. • Email Marketing Support: Assist in designing and formatting email campaigns using MailChimp, ensuring messages are engaging, visually appealing, and on-brand. • Website & Digital Content: Provide graphic assets for websites, blogs, and email newsletters to improve engagement and visibility. • Event & Program Promotions: Support marketing efforts for events, leadership programs, advocacy campaigns, and annual meetings by designing promotional materials and email templates. • SOPs: Assist with developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for social media marketing, graphic design workflows, and email campaign execution to streamline processes and maintain consistency within the team. • Collaboration & Feedback: Work closely with the communications team to revise designs as needed and ensure timely delivery of content. Qualifications & Experience: • Proficiency in Canva (required) with a strong understanding of design principles (layout, typography, color palettes). • Experience with email marketing tools (MailChimp preferred) for designing and formatting newsletters and emails. • Knowledge of social media content trends and best practices for designing engaging graphics. • Ability to translate topics and themes into compelling visuals that align with the organization’s mission. • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple design projects. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining open communication with the team.
