I’m reaching out to refine an existing design I’ve been working on. This piece is an artistic representation of my recent Parkinson’s diagnosis, and I plan to use it across multiple applications to help raise awareness in my workplace and community. Additionally, I’m considering turning it into a tattoo—my first—so I want to ensure the design is as strong as possible. I’ve been collaborating with another artist on a separate platform, and while I don’t consider myself an artist, I created a detailed mock-up of my vision. Overall, I’m happy with how it has come together, but I believe the watercolor elements could be improved. That’s where I’d love your input. I own the full copyright to the design and have all the source files, including vectors and layered .psd files. My goal is to refine the watercolor elements while keeping the core structure intact. Ideally, we can work with the existing watercolor effects and enhance them rather than making overall changes from scratch. I’ve pasted a .png of the existing image and the stock image of watercolors I originally shared with the other artist. I purchased the use license of the stock image if the helps with the overall process. Areas for Refinement: 1. Refining the Long Splatters – I’d like to add more controlled "droplet" shapes at the ends of some longer streaks to create a more intentional and visually striking effect. A few already have this look, but incorporating it more consistently could enhance the artistic impact. I’ve attached a reference image (with a licensed use agreement) for inspiration. 2. Enhancing Small, Short Splashes – Some of the smaller splashes could use more detail—perhaps subtle shading or more defined edges—to enhance the drop-like effect. Right now, they appear a bit basic, and refining them would create a more striking and purposeful artistic touch. 3. Adjusting the Watercolor Near the Top of the Gloves – Once the other refinements are made, I’d like to remove a few splashes near the top of the gloves to keep the overall composition balanced. This will help maintain focus on the element boxes and gloves while making the remaining splashes stand out more. Design Breakdown for Context: • Element Boxes – Structured like periodic table elements, these display key dates from my Parkinson’s diagnosis instead of atomic details, making the piece deeply personal. • Boxing Gloves – Representing my fight against the disease, these are detailed but slightly stylized for strong visual impact. • Watercolor Effect – Vibrant drips, splashes, and splatters flow organically around the gloves, creating an abstract, spontaneous, yet striking visual. The final design needs to be scalable for multiple applications, so maintaining clarity at different sizes is important.
