What I’m Looking For: I want a cover that is intense, dramatic, and unmissable—something that instantly grabs attention while resonating with the book’s deep themes of unity, struggle, and the Eucharist. The ideal design will: Reflect the gravity of the title—Breaking Bread, Breaking Barriers—in both typography and imagery. Capture the tension and beauty of faith reaching across boundaries. Evoke the sacred without relying on clichéd religious imagery. Be suitable for print and digital formats. Concept Ideas to Explore: Here are a few directions you might consider: Broken Bread as a Motif: Stylized, dramatic rendering of broken bread at the center, with light or fire emerging from the cracks—suggesting both sacrifice and connection. Barrier Imagery: Hands reaching across a broken wall, or a cracked chalice mended with gold (inspired by Kintsugi), symbolizing healing through rupture. Iconographic Fusion: A modern reinterpretation of traditional Coptic iconography blended with contemporary design elements—bold color contrasts, minimalism meeting sacred art. Contrast and Light: Stark contrasts between light and shadow to reflect division and unity, possibly incorporating a cross-shaped beam of light emerging through darkness.
