Project Overview: I’m looking for an experienced full-stack developer (or small development team) to build an MVP for College Navigator AI—a platform that helps students discover their best-fit colleges and majors using AI-driven recommendations. The MVP should support up to 1,000 users with a scalable foundation for future growth. The platform will leverage AI models to analyze user inputs and suggest colleges based on their academic background, interests, and career goals. Users should also be able to interact within a forum to discuss topics like applications, career paths, and college experiences. ________________________________________ Scope of Work: 1. User Authentication & Profiles • Email and password sign-up/login (Google OAuth preferred). • Basic user profiles with the ability to save favorite colleges. 2. AI-Powered College Matching • Users answer a short questionnaire about academics, interests, and goals. • AI recommends top colleges & majors based on data analysis. • Colleges are ranked based on compatibility score. 3. Forum & Community Feature • Users can create & participate in forum discussions (topics like applications, studying abroad, choosing a major, etc.). • Commenting, liking, and basic moderation tools. 4. Frontend Development (Preferred: React or Next.js) • Simple, modern UI aligned with the existing College Navigator landing page. • Responsive design (desktop & mobile). 5. Backend & AI Integration (Preferred: Node.js/Python + OpenAI API) • Develop AI-based recommendation system using OpenAI API or a basic ML model. • Database for storing user data, college info, forum discussions (Firebase, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB). 6.
