We are looking to enhance the in person shopping experience by offering a platform that uses RFID tag, AI and an in house payment system. Currently we're looking to create a working prototype. It doesn't need to be pretty, just functional. Essentially, a customer would be able to walk into a retail store, choose items that contain an RFID tag, and make a purchase in a streamlined way. This is currently used at Uniqlo stores and provides a great amount of convenience. The unique part of this software design is the involvement of machine learning to help make suggestions to a customer based off of previous purchases. There are many other features to bridge the gap between a customer and a retailer that allows a more personalized shopping experience and customer interaction. We need to develop 1) a customer application for phones. 2) a store application for the store, which will communicate a lot of information about the customer and 3) a cloud server which stores the customers credit card info, purchase info, preferences, etc that can be accessed by both the customer and store applications.
