We are looking for someone(s) to build a very basic Instagram style social media site (snap and post photos with captions, friend, comment, browse and search) web and mobile based… We do not want to collect a ton of personal data. We do not want fancy algorithms. We do not want to sell personal data. Or anything like that. We are not integrated into a larger website / ecosystem. We are calling the project, Back to Basics. We want to keep this as a simple sharing photos platform. Really just a communications platform. The big difference, we plan on charging users a subscription fee. The best way to think of it is kind of as a hybrid between subscription and Pay-To-Post… when you sign up, you will be asked to pay a modest subscription fee, we’re thinking $75 a year. There will be other functionality added later, but we’ll get to that in a larger more detailed doc for those who are sincerely interested. Happy to share. If you are interested please write up a quick letter with some commentary, how you plan on going about the project and your estimates. We should have a more complete set of docs ready for you early April for you to give a better / more accurate estimate of what we want. For now this is a one time project, but we would be very interested in someone(s) who is looking to find something part-time / full-time.
