We are looking for a highly skilled developer with expertise in Google Maps Platform API to embed an interactive map into a website and enable high-level functionality such as: • Granular filtering options (e.g., specific locations by vehicle type, services offered, or location). • Advanced search functionality with autocomplete and geocoding. • Custom map layers and data overlays to display relevant business information dynamically. • Real-time updates with API-driven dynamic content. • User-friendly UI/UX integration ensuring a seamless and interactive experience. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Google Maps API, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular) and have experience integrating mapping solutions with backend services (Node.js, Firebase, Strapi, or similar CMS platforms). RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop and optimize an interactive map using Google Maps API for embedding on a website. • Implement search and filtering functionality based on dealer/service center attributes and geolocation data. • Customize map styles, markers, and overlays for an intuitive user experience. • Ensure high performance and scalability, including caching strategies for large datasets. • Integrate external APIs or databases for real-time data updates. • Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure seamless front-end integration. • Troubleshoot and debug map-related performance issues and API limitations. • Provide documentation and training for internal teams on maintaining and updating the map. REQUIREMENTS • Proven experience working with Google Maps Platform APIs (Geocoding, Places, Routes, Maps JavaScript API). • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular). • Experience with backend integration (Node.js, Firebase, Python, or similar tech stacks). • Knowledge of GIS mapping, geospatial data processing, and handling location-based services. • Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for large datasets on maps. • Experience working with APIs and external databases to sync dynamic location data. • Strong debugging skills and ability to troubleshoot API issues. • Experience with Mapbox, HERE Maps, or Leaflet.js is a plus but not required. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. QUALIFICATIONS • Previous experience in automotive, logistics, or dealership network mapping projects. • Experience with SEO-friendly location pages and search indexing for maps. • Understanding of data visualization techniques for map analytics.
