Are you a highly organized software engineer / web developer with a strong background in WordPress and website management? Do you have experience in coordinating software projects, solving technical problems, managing technical specs, and effectively communicating with international development teams? We’re looking for a Web Development & WordPress Project Manager to oversee the transition of two separate delivery websites into a single, highly functional platform while also managing ongoing feature improvements. About the Project We currently operate two WordPress-based websites to handle orders for our vegan meal delivery service, managing deliveries on two separate days of the week. We are now transitioning to one unified website to streamline operations and enhance customer experience. Your role will be to lead and manage this transition by ensuring smooth communication between our team and our international web development agency, tracking progress, and making sure technical requirements are met. Key Responsibilities - Project Oversight – Manage and direct the transition from two websites into a single optimized website. - Technical Communication – Act as the bridge between the business and the international web development team, ensuring specs are well understood and executed correctly. - WordPress Expertise – Troubleshoot and provide technical direction for any WordPress or website-related issues. - Task Management & Execution – Drive project tasks, review updates from the development agency, and push for completion within deadlines. - Quality Control – Review the work delivered by developers, test new features, and ensure everything functions as expected. - Ongoing Website Enhancements – Manage additional feature development beyond the initial website transition. Documentation & Reporting – Keep track of progress, create clear summaries, and report updates to the business owner. Requirements - MUST be a software engineer / web developer with experience in websites, WordPress, and software project management. - Highly organized, with excellent task tracking and deadline management skills. - Strong communicator, able to read specs, interpret requirements, and explain tasks clearly to a remote development team. - Hands-on WordPress knowledge – able to troubleshoot, review work, and provide technical direction. - Experience working with international teams, ensuring smooth collaboration. - Located in Phoenix or Tucson, AZ – occasional in-person meetings with the company owner. Position Details Part-time role – Requires daily check-ins to ensure the project stays on track. Compensation based on experience & expertise.
