UI/UX Designer


Overview: Restore Hope is a software, services, and media organization that helps communities achieve better outcomes for justice and child welfare efforts. Our solutions focus on optimizing systems by improving the relationship among its parts. Restore Hope is currently developing HopeHub, a digital platform designed to connect resources, services, and support networks to those in need. To enhance the user experience of HopeHub, Restore Hope is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join the team on a part-time basis. The UI/UX Designer will play a key role in shaping the design and usability of the HopeHub system, working closely with our development and program teams to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that improve accessibility and engagement for a diverse user base. We are looking for individuals who are: meticulous, self-motivated, problem solvers, flexible, organized, learn quickly, efficient, able to effectively prioritize tasks, multi-task, and technologically proficient. Job Responsibilities Design and refine user interfaces for the HopeHub platform, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. Collaborate with developers to implement design concepts effectively. Maintain design consistency and usability across all platform components. Advocate for best practices in accessibility and user-centered design. Iterate on designs based on testing, analytics, and user feedback. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain effective communication. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize marketing strategies and content based on data insights. Collect and analyze research/data as necessary and stay updated with industry trends and creative technologies. Cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners, promoting collaboration and reflecting professional standards. Fulfill any other job duties as assigned. Key skills needed to succeed in this role: Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Zoom, cloud-based communication systems, and able to quickly learn new technological platforms. Understanding of UX principles, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience designing web and mobile applications. Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design principles. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and demonstrated ability to translate concepts into visually compelling content. Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and manage time and priorities effectively. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on nonprofit or social impact projects. Previous experience designing platforms for resource coordination or community engagement. Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus, but not required.
