Full-Stack Developer Needed for One-Time, High-Traffic Employee Gifting Experience

We are looking for a highly skilled full-stack web developer (or development team) to build a premium, interactive gifting experience that will be live for a limited period before being permanently closed. The platform must be secure, scalable, and capable of handling thousands of simultaneous users as all eligible employees will access it at the same time. This is a one-time use platform—it will be live for approximately two weeks for employees to claim their gifts, after which the site will no longer be needed. Project Overview: A corporate client is launching a one-time global gifting initiative for its employees. Employees will be invited via a branded, interactive email to visit the platform, verify their identity, and select their gift. The goal is to create a seamless, premium, and fully branded experience from the moment they receive the email to their final confirmation. The user journey should feel interactive and conversational, similar to a well-designed chatbot experience, engaging users at each step. Key Features & Requirements: One-Time Use, High Traffic Platform • The platform will be accessed by a large volume of users at the same time, requiring robust scalability and load handling. • It must support tens of thousands of simultaneous users without crashing or slowing down. Secure User Verification • Employees must verify their eligibility using a unique Employee ID number before proceeding. • After verification, the system should dynamically personalize the experience (e.g., “Hi Jane, thanks for being part of the team!”). Premium, Interactive Gift Selection Process • Users will select one item from a pre-approved selection. Some items will have size or color options. • The interface should feel interactive and engaging, walking the user through each step naturally. Branded Email & Receipt Experience • Employees will receive a beautifully branded email invitation directing them to the site. • Once their gift is confirmed, they will receive a custom, branded email confirmation/receipt. Shipping & Address Verification • Employees must enter their name, shipping address (with verification), email, and phone number before completing their order. • Address must be validated to prevent errors or undeliverable shipments. Inventory Management & Live Stock Tracking • If any gift has a limited stock, the system should track real-time availability and prevent over-selection. • Employees should be prompted to select a different item if their first choice is out of stock. Multi-Language & Global Accessibility • The platform should auto-detect the user’s region and adjust language accordingly. • The platform must support global shipping considerations, including different country formats for addresses. Admin Dashboard (Basic Backend Controls) • Ability to monitor orders in real-time, manage inventory, and export user data for fulfillment. • Does not need to be built for long-term maintenance—this is a one-time use system. Tech Requirements & Preferred Stack: • Scalable architecture (AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean preferred). • Frontend: React, Next.js, Vue.js (open to alternatives). • Backend: Node.js, Python (Django), Laravel, or a scalable equivalent. • Database: PostgreSQL, Firebase, MySQL (must handle large concurrent queries). Project Timeline: • Development Start: ASAP • MVP Ready for Testing: Mid-April 2025 • Live Platform Launch: April 24, 2025 • Platform Closes: After two weeks of use Confidentiality & NDA Compliance: • This project is covered under a strict NDA, and additional agreements may be required before full details are shared. • Developer(s) must have experience working on confidential corporate projects and handling sensitive user data securely. Budget & Payment Structure: • Open to fixed-price or hourly bids with milestone payments. • If bidding hourly, please provide an estimated total project cost. • Payment will be released in milestones based on deliverables. How to Apply: Interested developers should submit: 1. A short proposal explaining their approach to building this type of one-time, high-traffic platform. 2. Examples of scalable, interactive, and security-sensitive projects they’ve built. 3. Their estimated timeline and cost.
