This is a unique opportunity to directly impact the success of artists by empowering them with the knowledge and tools to optimize their social presence. Role Overview: As a Product Specialist, you will assume full ownership of the website, driving the execution of content changes, ongoing maintenance, and strategic development. You will be responsible for ensuring the website remains a valuable and up-to-date resource for artists seeking to grow their audience and maximize their impact. Key Responsibilities: -Website Ownership: Assume full ownership of the website, including strategic planning, content creation, and ongoing maintenance. Ensure the site remains relevant, effective, and aligned with the goal of becoming the premier artist education resource. -Content Strategy & Development: Develop and execute a robust content strategy that addresses the educational needs of artists. This includes creating engaging video content (inspired by successful Education videos and low-budget short form content), updating existing resources, and ensuring all information is current and accurate. -Site Management & Maintenance: Oversee all aspects of site management, including site-wide updates, site copy updates, and branding updates. Manage backend site ownership, including contracts with web developers, data analysis, troubleshooting, and site security. -Content Uploads & Publication: Manage and execute content uploads, including executive letters, press articles, and best practices guides. Ensure timely and accurate publication of information. -Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various internal teams to gather insights on artist needs and align site content with broader marketing strategies. -Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor site traffic, engagement metrics, and user feedback to assess the effectiveness of content and identify areas for improvement. Utilize data to track progress toward goals. -Integration: Work towards integrating the website to provide a seamless and intuitive experience for artists. -Budget Management: Work with relevant stakeholders to determine and manage the budget for site maintenance, development, and content creation. Skills/Qualifications: -BA (Marketing/Comms, Journalism, Editorial/Curation) or MBA degree. -4-7+ years of related experience, ideally in the music/media industry. -Good understanding of traditional and digital media landscape and trends (especially digital marketing & analytics). -Ability to be proactive and organized while mobilizing cross-functional teams and problem solving for the business. -Deep interest in the online music industry. -Ability to translate complex ideas into simple and intuitive communications. -SQL and/or data science and/or data research experience is a plus.
