Full-Stack Engineer (Shopify & Recharge) – Food Subscription Brand

Our company, launched in 2023, is a growing food subscription brand featuring a rotating weekly menu. As we expand, we aim to enhance our Shopify and Recharge-based e-commerce website and custom-built customer portal to optimize customer experience and business efficiency. We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to take over from our initial tech member, handling both ongoing maintenance and technical enhancements. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Shopify, Recharge, and custom portal development, who can support our business with both routine upkeep and strategic improvements. Responsibilities: 1) Routine Maintenance & Operations Ensure the smooth functioning of our e-commerce platform with regular updates and troubleshooting: Perform weekly and monthly maintenance tasks to support business operations, including the weekly menu update in Shopify and content/creative updates as needed. Investigate and resolve Shopify and Recharge issues, such as payment failures, duplicated subscriptions, and other technical bugs. Assess and implement Recharge updates that may impact our portal or user experience. 2) Front-End & Back-End Enhancements Improve and expand the capabilities of our custom Recharge customer portal, enhancing both user experience and business efficiency. Initiatives may evolve based on business needs. Key projects include: Enhancing the Customer Portal – Optimize UI/UX for better onboarding, activation, and retention. Automating the Menu Changeover System – Streamline weekly menu transitions. Advanced Ordering & Menu Viewing – Enable customers to customize orders more than one week in advance. Automating Reporting – Implement backend improvements to generate business insights efficiently. Dynamic Pricing per Product – Setup Recharge’s dynamic pricing system Propose and implement additional tech-driven improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Who You Are: Proficient in Shopify, Recharge, Liquid, and JavaScript (experience with Shopify app development / Remix is a plus). Experienced in building and maintaining custom portals for e-commerce. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently. Comfortable working in a fast-growing startup environment and adapting to evolving business needs. Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
