Project Overview: We are looking for an experienced Twilio developer to create an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) mailbox system for our prison pen pal website. This system will allow community members to leave voicemails for inmates and enable inmates to call in, listen to their messages, and respond with voice recordings. Key Requirements: Develop a scalable IVR mailbox system using Twilio (or a comparable solution). Community members can call a designated number and leave voicemails for inmates using their mailbox numbers. Inmates can call the IVR system, authenticate with their spoken mailbox number and PIN, and listen to messages. Fully voice-interactive commands (e.g., “Play message,” “Delete message,” “Reply”). Inmates can only reply with voice messages (no text input). Replies are sent to community members via the website or phone notification. The IVR system must press "1" to accept incoming inmate calls after ~30–45 seconds. Ensure community members' phone numbers remain private from inmates. Support thousands of mailboxes and simultaneous users. Web-based interface for admin management (optional but preferred). Ideal Freelancer: Proven experience developing IVR systems with Twilio Voice, Twilio Studio, or Twilio Flex. Strong Python, Node.js, or PHP skills for backend development. Experience with speech recognition (ASR) and voice authentication. Knowledge of database management for storing messages securely. Ability to deliver a scalable, high-performance system.
