Location: San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California ***On-Site Attendance Required - All Expenses Paid*** Conference: 2025 American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) National Conference Duration: June 17-22, 2025 We are seeking a talented and motivated Medical Writer to join our team for an exciting opportunity to attend the 2025 American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California. As a Medical Writer, you will be responsible for attending presentations throughout the conference and producing 15 high-quality 600+ word articles based on the information presented. Responsibilities: - Attend 70% of the sessions, workshops and presentations throughout the conference - Take comprehensive notes and gather key insights from presentations. - Capture photos from the conference (with phone) and promptly share them with the team via email for social media use. - Produce 15 concise and accurate 600+ word articles based on the content of the presentations. - Ensure articles are thoroughly researched, well-written, and adhere to established guidelines and deadlines. - Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency and accuracy of content. Article Submission Schedule: - First 2 articles due on the second day of the conference on June 18, 2025. - Next 3 articles due on June 24, 2025 - Next 5 articles due on June 30, 2025 - Last 5 articles due on July 7, 2025 Content Focus Areas: Your focus should be on sessions that align with the clinical themes relevant to Cushing’s disease and related diagnostic or treatment areas, including: - Cortisol and adrenal disorders - Metabolic health, including type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance - Chronic fatigue and stress-related conditions - Women’s hormone imbalances (e.g., PCOS, menopause, HPA axis dysfunction) - Diagnostic challenges and lab testing in complex endocrine cases You can see the conference's full agenda here: https://sessions.aanp.org/ Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Medicine, Life Sciences, Journalism, Communications). - Proven experience as a Medical Writer or similar role, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and concepts. - Deep knowledge in Cushing's Syndrome - Familiarity with medical research methodologies and publication practices. - Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner. - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while meeting tight deadlines. Preferred (but not required) qualifications:: - Is a Nurse Practitioner or has an advanced degree (e.g., MD, PhD) or equivalent experience in a medical or scientific discipline. - Experience covering medical conferences or events.
