Hello, I’m working on a book focused on ideas (or “hustles”) meant to help the reader explore ways to earn extra income. I cover investment ideas, freelance work ideas (like Upwork), and many others. The book is about 30,000 words. The first draft of the book is complete; however, it still requires a lot of work. The main areas where I need help are as follows: 1. Identify sections of the book where the writing is choppy or the ideas do not flow logically, and reorganize or expand those sections needed. 2. In some sections, I found it challenging to come up with much to write, and as a result, some chapters feel rather light. I need help with either very specific ideas or feedback, but preferably, suggested edits. 3. A book summary that would go on the back of the book. 4. A subtitle suggestion after done reading the book. Notice that I did not put grammar, as I think the grammar is good enough. Emphasis is more on adding additional content, so I do expect actual writing from you (not pages after pages, but some paragraphs here and there), useful feedback on what to build out and how, and improving the general flow. And I do want the book to feel on the lighter side (maybe even folksy) sprinkled with jokes or funny observations, and there’s definitely not enough of that in there. If you mainly focus on grammar edits, feel free to decline the job. But if the above sounds like something you can add value to, let me know. I don’t really have set hours in mind. Expect to read the entire book first just so you can get a picture of what I’m trying to communicate, and then go back through it and make additions.
