I’ve co-written a ~6,000-word middle-grade humor book with my children, aimed at 3rd-5th grade readers. While I think the story is great (admittedly, I’m biased), I’m looking for an editor to bring a fresh perspective—someone who can refine the text and, when needed, rewrite sections to improve cadence and flow. I have some writing experience, including a year of journalism school and work with magazines/newspapers in college, but I’m not a professional or creative writer by training. My kids are eager to self-publish this book as soon as possible, so I’m looking for an editor who can work with a relatively quick turnaround. Lastly, I would request that the editor/writer not use any AI tools - only original, human edits and rewrites :) Thank you for considering this project!
