We're looking for copywriters/internet researchers/quality assurance specialists to help us oversee work that an international team does. About Us: We are an event discovery company focused on sourcing and curating the best events happening around the world. Our product is used by some of the biggest and most exciting companies across industries such as travel, technology, real estate and more. We have numerous team members around the world that work with us as their full-time and part-time job. The work is interesting and flexible and we hope you can be a part of it! What you will do: This role is a part of our content team. You serve as a critical part of our event curation and delivery process and your focus will be making sure that events that have been sourced are appropriate and have great images, descriptions and flags. Sometimes you will be asked to research cool and interesting social events happening in a specific market or geography to add to the list. Key activities include: - View our assignments sheet which will note the number of events we need in the market assigned to you. - Use the list of venues and aggregator websites supplied to you and/or execute additional research to source events that meet specific criteria including: - Location - Events will need to be within the geography outlined (for example, Washington, DC) - Time period - Events will need to happen within a specific time period outlined (for example, January 20-January 26) - Quality - Events sourced should be exciting events such as festivals, theatre performances, rodeos, cooking classes, seasonal markets, fairs, comedy nights and much more. You will be asked to avoid “junk events” which we consider submissions, sensitive, auditions, and professional events. - Make sure images and descriptions that have been written follow company guidelines for quality. What is expected of you: - 25-30 hours of availability each week is required. More hours are absolutely encouraged if you want to spend more time each week doing this task. - High speed and reliable internet access is required. - Communication via Slack is required from time to time.
