The Marketing Specialist will support the overall marketing efforts of the company, focusing on digital channels to enhance brand visibility, engage potential guests, and drive bookings. This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and digitally savvy individual with practical experience in SEO, social media management, and content creation. Working remotely, the Marketing Specialist will be instrumental in executing tactical marketing initiatives under the guidance of the Marketing Manager or senior leadership, ensuring consistency with the hotel's brand and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Digital Marketing Execution & Support: - Helps implement digital marketing strategies (website updates, email, online ads). - Collaborates with Marketing Manager to align digital activities with broader goals. - Monitors campaign performance and contributes to reports. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Support: - Conducts keyword research for content optimization. - Assists with on-page SEO (website content, meta descriptions, alt text). - Supports technical SEO by identifying issues (broken links, crawl errors). - Manages and updates local SEO listings (e.g., Google My Business) for accuracy within Sydney. - Tracks SEO performance using Google Analytics and Search Console. Social Media Management: - Creates, schedules, and publishes engaging content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) for a Philippine and broader audience. - Monitors channels, responds to comments, and engages with followers. - Assists in developing and executing organic and paid social campaigns to promote offerings and attractions in Sydney. - Tracks social media metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth). Content Creation: - Writes compelling copy for website, blog posts, social media, and email newsletters. - Assists with sourcing and organizing visual assets (photos, videos). - Ensures content adheres to brand guidelines and SEO best practices. Remote Work & Collaboration: - Demonstrates strong self-discipline, organization, and time management. - Effectively uses digital communication and project management tools (Slack, Teams, Asana, Trello). - Proactively communicates progress and ideas to the Marketing Manager. - Maintains organized digital files. Marketing Strategy Contribution: - Conducts market and competitor research for trends in the Sydney hotel industry. - Contributes ideas for new marketing initiatives. Qualifications - Experience: 2+ years in a marketing role, preferably in hospitality/tourism. - Remote Work: Proven effectiveness in a remote setup with strong organization and communication. - SEO: Practical experience with SEO principles and basic tools. - Social Media: Demonstrated experience managing and creating content for various platforms. - Digital Marketing: Strong understanding of principles and best practices. - Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills. Software: Proficient in common office software (MS Office, Google Workspace). - Work Ethic: Ability to work independently, prioritize, manage time effectively, and maintain detail orientation. - Interest: Keen interest in hospitality and guest experience. Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with marketing automation or email platforms. - Basic graphic design skills (Canva, photo editing). - Experience with website content management systems (CMS).
