PR Specialist Needed to Write & Distribute Press Release for App Launch

We’re looking for a talented and experienced PR professional to support the launch of the Style Science app—a new digital platform designed to help users discover their authentic personal style through a holistic, empowering lens. The app blends color theory, body analysis, and lifestyle-based guidance to help users connect with their true style identity beyond fleeting trends. Our platform centers authenticity, confidence, and community—especially for users who’ve never felt fully seen by traditional fashion spaces. This role will include: Writing a compelling, newsworthy press release for our upcoming app launch Distributing the press release to fashion publications, tech and lifestyle blogs, and Black media outlets such as Essence, Ebony, Refinery29 Unbothered, and similar platforms Advising (if available) on PR and marketing strategies to build momentum for launch Ideal Candidate: Proven experience writing and distributing press releases, especially in the fashion, beauty, tech, or lifestyle space Media relationships or experience securing placements in relevant outlets Strategic insight into launching new digital products or apps Bonus: Knowledge of or interest in inclusive fashion, digital communities, or Black consumer markets Deliverables: 1 finalized press release (including collaborative revisions) Press distribution, with a list of where it was submitted or published Optional: 1–2 hours of consultation on marketing/PR strategy Timeline: Press release should be distributed within 2–3 weeks of hire.
