Description: I am an author looking to promote my new book and build my personal brand. I need a creative professional who can handle videography, creative production, and digital editing—all in one. This is an in-person role for someone in the New York City / Jersey City area. Key Responsibilities: Videography: Record high-quality video footage, including talking-head style shots and other setups as needed. Green Screen Work: Set up and effectively use green screen, ensuring proper lighting and crisp background removal. Editing & Post-Production: Edit videos (including background replacement), add motion graphics/GIFs (e.g., animated book covers, brand elements), and handle color correction to deliver polished final cuts. Scene/Shot Planning: Collaborate with me on strategic, creative ideas for specific shots to achieve the desired promotional effects. Motion Videos / GIF Creation: Conceptualize and produce short-form animated visuals that engage my audience—particularly featuring my books, brand icons, etc. Nice-to-Haves (Not Required): Photography Experience: Ability to take professional portraits or lifestyle shots for social media or book-related promotions. Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with digital marketing trends, social media campaigns, and brand-building strategies to help guide creative decisions. Podcast Production: Experience with podcast setup (audio/video), editing, and distribution. Required Qualifications: Must be able to meet and record in-person in NYC/Jersey City. Proven experience in videography and digital video editing (please provide portfolio or examples). Strong knowledge of green screen techniques, lighting, and composition. Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects). Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate on creative direction. Project Scope & Engagement: This will be an ongoing collaboration for upcoming book promotions, brand announcements, and social content. Flexible hours—some weeks might be busier than others, depending on new releases or promotional campaigns.
