Certify Donation with Maryland State Tax Program for non-profit.


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to assist with the certification of approximately 15 donations under the Maryland Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) Program for the year 2024. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax credit programs, particularly the CITC Program, and will be responsible for ensuring that all donations are properly acknowledged and certified according to the program's guidelines. Responsibilities: Review and Understand CITC Guidelines: Thoroughly review the CITC Certification Instructions provided to ensure compliance with all program requirements. Collect and Prepare Required Documents: Gather all necessary supporting documents and evidence for each donation, including: Completed and signed Donor & Awardee Waiver of Information Forms. Nonprofit Awardee "Thank You" Letters to the Donors. Evidence of the Donation/Contribution (e.g., invoices, receipts, checks, valuations, transfer letters, etc.). Complete Certification Forms: Accurately complete the online CITC Certification forms for each donation, ensuring all required fields are filled out correctly and all supporting documents are attached. Submit Certifications: Submit the completed certification forms through the DHCD Project Portal system within the required timelines. Address Any Issues: Handle any issues or corrections requested by the CITC Program Staff, including resubmitting forms if necessary. Maintain Communication: Provide regular updates on the progress of the certification process and promptly address any questions or concerns. Requirements: Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure all documentation is accurate and complete. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple donations and ensure timely submission of certifications. Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using online grant management systems, specifically the DHCD Project Portal, and proficient in handling PDF files and other digital documents. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with donors and program staff as needed. Availability: Ability to start immediately and complete the project within a reasonable timeframe
